Initially, the sculpture was a portrait of a Buddhist monk whom I photographed during my trip to Bhutan. After a few years, a massive crack appeared along the face to the point that I decided to fix it and fill the slit while doing this I came up with an idea to coat it with aluminium and give it some Sci-Fi feel and that's basically how this work morphed into something totally new.
